May 2026 State theatre - mn Events Guide: Minneapolis Concerts, Shows and Games
If you're looking to catch some of the hottest events in Minneapolis, the State Theatre is the place to be. This historic venue has a vibe that’s hard to match, think stunning architecture, lively energy, and a history rooted in showbiz legends like the Schubert siblings. They were real movers and shakers back in the day, and their influence still echoes through the theatre today. The place got a serious upgrade in the 90s, adding modern sound and lighting tech that makes every concert or show feel like a full-blown spectacle. One thing I love is how they’ve got seating options for everyone, whether you want to be right up front in the pit for that super intimate experience, or kick back in the loge seats for a bit more privacy. And if you’re into comfort, the climate control keeps things cozy no matter what Minnesota weather throws at you. Planning to hit a show? Check out public transit options like the Metro Transit buses that stop nearby on Hennepin Street. It’s super convenient, and honestly, it’s a great way to avoid parking hassles. So whether you’re into stand-up comedy with Jeff Arcuri, a wild Cirque Alice show, or catching the latest local band, the State Theatre makes every event unforgettable. Plus, they’re all about community, looking to volunteer or find the perfect seat? The interactive seating chart can help you pick the best spot for your vibe. Trust me, there’s nothing quite like experiencing live performances at this iconic Minneapolis spot.
