This-weekend 2026 State theatre - mn Events Guide: Minneapolis Concerts, Shows and Games
Looking for a weekend packed with live entertainment at the iconic State Theatre in Minneapolis? You’re in luck because this place is buzzing with events that have something for everyone. The theatre’s rich history is pretty cool, originally run by the legendary Schubert siblings, who really knew how to put on a show, and it’s been modernized without losing that vintage charm. They’ve got top-notch sound and lighting systems installed in the 90s, making every concert or show feel like a big event. If you’re into the vibe of being close to the action, the pit section is perfect for bands, giving you that almost firsthand experience. Prefer a quieter spot? Loge seats are popular for a reason, they give you a bit of privacy without sacrificing the atmosphere. And don’t worry about getting there, Metro Transit runs buses right near the venue, so hopping on and walking a few blocks is a breeze. Whether you're eyeing front-row Cirque Alice or looking for a more budget-friendly night with Crystal Methyd, the seating chart is super helpful. Plus, the theatre loves community involvement, so if you're into volunteering or just want to catch some epic events, it’s a great spot to be. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this weekend’s lineup, live shows at the State Theatre are always memorable.
